From Endangered to Vulnerable: The Giant Panda’s Incredible Comeback
Share
CHENGDU – It is official: The Giant Panda is no longer classified as "Endangered." After decades of dedicated conservation work, habitat restoration, and strict protection laws, wild panda numbers have rebounded significantly.
The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) has upgraded the panda’s status to "Vulnerable." This historic shift proves that when we protect forests and bamboo reserves, nature can recover.
"The recovery of the Giant Panda shows that science, political will, and local community engagement can work together to save wildlife."
